THANKSGIVING MANTEL

I thought I would share my fall mantel today before I take it down and start Christmas decorating. I love my brown glass trees with the white pumpkins.

Can I just tell you how I am dreading dragging all of that Christmas stuff out. I seriously need to get rid of about half of it- I never put it all out anyway. I think I have about 25 of those big storage tubs full-ridiculous!

I made this arrangement for my porch. It was white when I bought it. I sprayed it black and filled it with fall leaves and pumpkins.It won 1st place at our county fair and second at the state fair. DINING TABLE BOUNTY

I took my big copper bowl and piled in quors, pumkins,acorns and deer antlers, then threw in pinecones and moss and a few succulents and leaves for color.Then I decided to put my burlap tablecloth on the table. I rarely use a tablecloth, I just like the look of the bare wood better. This arrangement is huge, the bowl is probably about the size of a birdbath. It takes up so much room, I will probably do another arrangement for the Thanksgiving meal.

Mr. squirrel came for those giant acorns. TOUCHES OF FALL

EARLY FALL MANTEL

I have had my fall mantel done for a while now, I didn't add too much as I will be changing it out for Halloween soon. I really like to decorate for Halloween and Thanksgiving but I just had to have a touch of fall before then! This is the mantel before with all my santos.

This is the after.I used my copper colored glass trees and they will probably show up in the Thanksgiving mantel too. And do you notice how much I love feathers! FLAUNT YOUR FALL

It's time for the Flaunt Your Fall party at http://www.chiconashoestringdecorating.blogspot.com I have been slow getting my fall things out, I don't know what I do with my time lately, I just can't seem to get things done!I have been working on this table and redoing and tweaking, I think I am ready to just leave it like it is!

I couldn't decide if this was too busy or not. This plate is one I love, made by Vicki Carrol. She is a Mississippi artist and this is from her Magnolia Lane collection. The colors are just perfect for fall.I took off some of the leaves and the bowl-I think I like it less cluttered. What do you think?

IT'S FALL YA'LL

It's feelin like fall so I pulled out my pig-I just LOVE this pig! He weighs about 25 lbs-carved from a solid piece of wood. I bought him at a moving sale for I think $15.00.
