HOW TO MAKE A VASE

I have been seeing these painted jars and vases and loved the colors that you can get by painting them yourself. The ones I have seen have benn painted on the inside, so that you have to put another container inside the painted one to be able to use it for real flowers. I decided to paint the outside of mine. I first painted with white and then two coats of turquoise. This was just the craft paint from 'Sprawl" Mart. Then I coated with clear acrylic spray-gloss. I uses several coats, drying between each. Now I can just put flowers directly into mine. I tied a piece of jute and a small rusty thingy, that  I found on the side. I am usually not this country, but I love this kind of bouguet in the fall. I am joining www.theshabbycreekcottage.com  for Transformation Thursday and www.thevintagefarmhouse.com for Creativethings Thursday. Also www.adelightsomelife.com for Home and Garden Thursday

Cute, cute! I love this idea; country or not. Even decorating for an event for a small table piece for each table.

Such a great idea. Years ago, I used spray paint on all kinds of glass. Paint does wonders for projects. Great color choice too.
