MAKING SALSA

This is what has kept me busy this week-heirloom tomatoes. Now I will admit I only like very acid tomatoes and a lot of these are sweet tasting. But they make great soup and salsa! My favorite of these is the little red one with the orange top, up in the top left corner.
The pointy striped one is cute. My friend grows and sells these at several farmers markets and to some fancy restaurants in our capitol city.I made salsa and am making more this morning-can't have enough of this good stuff. I use lots of cilantro in mine!

My daughter makes a wonderful salsa and uses lots of cilantro, too. Limes give it a nice flavor, too!

Looks good! Mine are ripening faster than we can eat them! Care to share your recipe?

That looks good! My mama gave me 3 jars of her homemade salsa yesterday and we just tried it. It was so good and fresh tasting! I've got to learn how to make it.

Those are simply gorgeous---like shiny sculpture.

I like salsa---I've made it, I can buy it. What I REALLY want is to bite right into that bottom red tomato with the little bellybutton. I can't buy those ANYWHERE, and our crop are still marble-to-golfball size.
