THANKSGIVING MANTEL

I thought I would share my fall mantel today before I take it down and start Christmas decorating. I love my brown glass trees with the white pumpkins.

Can I just tell you how I am dreading dragging all of that Christmas stuff out. I seriously need to get rid of about half of it- I never put it all out anyway. I think I have about 25 of those big storage tubs full-ridiculous!

I made this arrangement for my porch. It was white when I bought it. I sprayed it black and filled it with fall leaves and pumpkins. It won 1st place at our county fair and second at the state fair. I may put greenery and christmas balls in it for Christmas.I am joining Kim for Wow Us Wednesday at http://www.savvysouthernstyle.blogspot.com and http://www.bunnyjeansdecorandmore.blogspot.com  for her blog hop.

This looks lovely, I just love white pumpkins. Your new banner is wonderful, did you do it? I need to change mine so bad but I have to get a new camera first.
Happy Thanksgiving. Kathy

Looks lovely....I did not get around to doing fall decor this season...I hope to find my living room soon and put up a tree...Felling rather Barr Humbug about the whole things atm.

Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving

I sold at least half of what I had. Still have a bit more I'd like to get rid of. Hopefully when we setup again this weekend it will be gone cause people should be in XMAS decorating mode by then.

The porch arrangement is so unique. The frame looks like a window from an old castle. Have a bountiful Thanksgiving.

I DO love to see a comment from you on LAWN TEA! And I love dropping in for your own bright cheery posts.

Would you ever "lend" a photo or two? The King of the Gypsies pictures and words are just captivating, and if you've read WAY BACK in the LT archives, there's one post about the times of the year that the knife-sharpeners and the glasses-and-pot-menders came to our little town. And also---our favorite Great-Aunt who married my Mammaw's widower brother late in life was mentioned to have "a lot of Gypsy blood." Bless her sweet Heart, she probably would have worn every single sparkly tribute left on the gravestones---I've never seen a grown person wear so many trinkets.

I wrote about her in the Gussied/Hussied post.

Anyway---it's nice to drop in on a friend early in a dark morning, before the household's stirring. We're either decorating trees today, or we're not. I'll let Caro decide---she's the one who does all the artistic stuff, plus all the tubs of stuff are stored in her part of the house.

Hope you have a happy rest-of-the-holiday!

Love your porch arrangement, congrats on winning! I think it will look great decked out for Christmas too!
I hear you about those bins, and I said the same thing. So much work dragging them out, and way too much stuff! I really have to donate some of it!
Your mantel looks lovely too!

First of all I love your newish header... I think I saw it last week or so but didn't comment on it. In fact I have been so bad about leaving comments lately. Sometimes I get distracted before I can even read a whole post! Between the dog in my lap and my ADD... Oh, and all this holiday stuff! I am with you about not wanting to get Christmas stuff out. Anyway it is really just not the same without the little kids around.

Thanks for joining the party last week. You know that you are always welcome :) Seems lately that the only blogs that I have time to visit are those in my party. I really need to go and read back on some of your previous posts to see what you have been up to :)
