JUST THE TWO OF US

I hesitated to share our simple table for two. I always enjoy looking at the elaborate tablescapes on Susan's blog for Tablescape Thursday. But it is just the hubby and me, the children are busy with their lives and we don't entertain anymore-but life is what it is. These are Better Homes and Gardens dishes, I love the colors in the salad plates, perfect for fall.
The brown glasses are old as dirt, I have had them forever! I just hold on to then, because I like to use this color in the fall.
This is my everyday stainless that is also old, I have always loved the weight and feel of it.Cute little bird in the centerpiece.Sorry for the quality of this picture, I needed to adjust for the fading light. Anyway this is just a simple dinner for the two of us. Visit Susan at http://www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com

It's wonderful that you take time to make it special for "just the two" of you. I struggle to make the daily meals special for our family of six right now. Fatigue always catches up by almost-dinner, and I end up wishing I would have done more to make it pretty.

Maybe today I'll set the table EARLY. You've inspired me!

Love the setting, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with a table for two! You know I love that bird in that center piece. I really like those brown glasses too.

Who needs kids or people over or even a fancy restaurant when they have a setting like that at home! Wow! I love the glasses btw.

I love the saying "Older than dirt" and things that are older are so much fun. The table setting looked like a wonderful meal for two will be served. Peace

I don't remember seeing those BH&G salad plates. They're really pretty! The chargers and flatware are fab, too! (LOVE the design of that flatware!!!) I'm a fan of the table for 2. It is hard to set a great intimate table. When people put themselves out there, I'm always so thrilled by it. Very nice! Have a restful weekend!

I love those plates, very pretty!
I set for 2 every night . We entertain, but not nearly as much as we used to.
Have a great Sunday. Beautiful weather here this weekend.

This is lovely...thanks so much for sharing. Your dishes are wonderful. I was just at Walmart yesterday and the line of
BH&G dishes right now is so cool. There are cream leaf plates that I really want...I may have to go back and get them. Have a really good week!
