SINGING THE BLUES

As I was walking around my yard I noticed how many blue items I have. I love cobalt blue and haint blue as we call it in the South.

Blue trimmed bird houses and bottle trees to catch evil spirits.

Blue gazing balls and a haint blue table for the bird to sit on.Repainted Jackson and Perkins wall vaseshold variegated St. Augustine grass and yellow moss. I am joining http://www.smilingsally.blogspot.com for Blue Monday and http://www.fishtailcottage.blogspot.com  for Cottage Flora Thursday.

Lots of good blue.

lol...you know I luv me some bottle trees...but I was at the my barber one time. She and another customer were talking about the tacky bobble tree in the front yard nearby.

I stood up and said well, you wouldn't want to come to my yard...I have 6 or 7 of them.

I went to winery opening last weekend (New Kent County, VA Saude Creek Winery) and we were admiring their bottles (wine was good too) and kicked around the idea of a bottle tree. I don't tend to like them because the structure of the tree make them look kinda barren. But yours is amid a live plant and only the pretty cobalt blue bottles are showing - nice. I'm going to do something like this next spring.
