YOU CAN SEE IT FROM OUTER SPACE!

I am joining Kim at http://www.savvysouthernstyle for her Deck and Porch Party.Do you like the color of my glider and chair? I love it! The guy at the paint store mixed and mixed until he got just the shade I wanted-I told him I wanted bright-he said lady this is so bright you can see it from outer space! Do you think I should have been offended? Oh well he's just a man-what does HE know!As you can see I have a canopy over my sitting area of the deck. A deck in Mississippi in the summertime is the most useless thing on God's Good Earth-it only gets about 699 degrees out here so until it gets a roof, I had to do something! Did you notice that the cushions flip over for two different looks?
Of course for those two days in the fall when it gets cool I might need this.A few heat loving plants,in the mean time. And a bird to welcome you.

I love the color you picked, Vicky. So pretty. I bet it will be pretty with aqua accessories too! How nice that you got to visit Katherine's store. How is she doing? Where is it? How close is it from Jackson? Would love to see it someday too....Christine

How cool! I do like the color.

I have a glider that looks just about like your's. Mine is still the original green (well mostly green) color.

I have one chair that is similiar to your's. I think the back on mine is square instead of curved.

Love it and I love the canopy! Great idea to do that. At least you can get out there and enjoy all the fruits of your labor!

Green is one of my favorite colors so I think it makes everything pop just right together. You are correct about a deck in Ms. and they aren't much good here in TN. What ever happen to the wonder porches of yesteryear. Peace

I love your super-bright paint color! It's perfect! I hear ya about the heat in the summertime! I live in North Alabama now, but moved here last year from Very South Louisiana! If the heat didn't get you during the day, the mosquitoes would get you in the evening!

Me too! I love the bright green color you used on the glider. I can't believe that crazy paint guy said that! Oh my. It is called chartreuse, right!?

Looks lovely. Our evenings aren't hot here... but the mosquitos will eat you alive!

Love your porch.
