PANIC ATTACKS

Have you ever felt as tied in knots as this poor old tree? I guess I must be , because my panic attacks have returned. If you have never had one-pray that you never do. I used to think people were exagerating when they were talking about panic attacks. Good Lord forgive me for not believing them, I now know how they suffered. Anyway after my recent trip to the emergency room, I have realized I must stop worrying about everything and everybody and the state of our world. So, no more watching the news! The hub is out of town this week and I have tried to occupy myself with a major cleanup-throwaway project. I thought if I kept busy, I wouldn't worry about things. I guess it worked I have been fine, except for a few times when I felt one coming on-so I just got up and got my mind onto something else! Also my phone and internet have been down for three days, just got that fixed-and I really can't say that I missed it too much. Now, I am off to check on everybody-pray that I won't have any attacks while the hub is gone!

I have a close family member who has had them. Once he recognized that's what they were and not a heart attack or something fatal, he is able to talk himself out of them. I know I've been close when the thought of being trapped on a cramped elevator almost became reality. It's real. Best of luck working your way through them. I read on Wikipedia or somewhere once that most people can come to terms with them and work their way through the anxiety once they realize they are not dying. My best to you.

I have had 2 in my 65 years and one doctor said I shallow breathed when anxious and then that did something inside me (oxygen wise) so if I feel anxious I have to stop and pay attention to my breathing and take more deep breathes. I pray you won't have anymore because I know personally they are horrible.

Oh no panic attacks are terrible! The helpless feelings, feeling like you have no control are the worst! I agree about no more news. For a while I was addicted to CNN and it really made my emotions worse, now I only watch the weather.
I hope you find some peace and feel better ASAP!

Wishing and Praying that you don't have any more of these!!! I've had a few and they are not any fun...the first one that I had was when I was driving and had to pull off the highway and pull myself together...I knew that I had no one to call to help me so I had to do like you did and "get over it"...and it was so difficult!!!
You can do it!!!!
Have a beautiful day!!! I'm sure blogging helps:-)
