COFFEE HOUSE AFFAIR

TODAY OUR COMMUNITY ARTS GROUP,OF WHICH I AM A BOARD MEMBER HAD A PROGRAM FOR THE PUBLIC. WE SET UP THE COMMUNITY CENTER TO LOOK LIKE A COFFEE HOUSE AND SERVED COFFEE AND TEA AND SWEET TREATS. WE HAD A FAMOUS GUITARIST TO COME IN AND PLAY TUNES, WHILE EVERYONE SAT AROUND AND ENJOYED THE COFFEE HOUSE ATMOSPHERE. I DID THE FLORAL ARRANGEMENTS. I THOUGHT THE METAL TEA POT WOULD BE PERFECT, BUT IT WAS BLACK AND DIDN'T SHOW UP TO GOOD, SO I PAINTED IT WITH SOME OF MY ACRYLIC CRAFT PAINT. I STUFFED IT WITH SPANISH MOSS TO HIDE THE PLASTIC CONTAINER THAT HELD THE FLOWERS. IT WORKED OUT PERFECTLY THAT THE CENTERS OF THE FLOWERS JUST MATCHED THE COLOR OF THE POT. EVERYONE THOUGHT I HAD DYED THE FLOWERS TO MATCH!
THIS IS A FAVORITE COFFEE MUG GIVEN TO ME BY A FRIEND, SO I MADE A SMALL ARRANGEMENT FOR THE GUEST BOOK TABLE. I JUST HOT GLUED THE SPOON ON TOP-IT WILL POP RIGHT OFF LATER.
WE ALSO HAD SOME LOCAL ARTISTS EXHIBITING THEIR WORK, NOT ME SINCE I HAVEN'T PAINTED IN OVER A YEAR.I AM JOINING SUSAN FOR MET MONDAY AT http://www.betweennapsontheporch/ GO VISIT FOR LOTS OF TRANSFORMATIONS.
