REMODELING A FIXER UPPER

After two hard years , I hope I am coming back to somewhat of a life. I bought a get away place and have been trying to redo it, so I am going to start sharing photos of this BIG undertaking!
This is the kitchen. It had floral wallpaper that was stuck tight, so I opted to paint over it. Saved a lot of work- and remember this is just a get away place-I do not want fancy.
As you can see painting the bottom paneling really improved things. Still need floor covering, but am waiting on cabinet installation. The funky little table and chairs are pieces picked up at different times I decided to paint each chair a different color and the legs of the table white. Cabinets all torn out waiting for new. I painted the top cabinets this blue-still deciding if I like. The bottom cabinets will be white. The curtain has all the different colors from the chairs and cabinets.I have "camped" on weekends when working on this. I mean all me and my little dog need are a microwave and a fridge-though the stove does work too. LOL. More to come.... I am joining INSPIRE ME TUESDAY at https//www.astrollthrulife.net

How fun to have a project like this to keep you busy - and when it's completed what a great place you'll have to escape to! I wish I was talented enough to do things like this.

I'm so glad to see you back posting and look forward to following your progress!

I did leave a comment here yesterday, but I'm not seeing it! I know you moderate comments, but not sure I hit the right button to post.

I'm really glad to see you blogging again and look forward to following this project along with you. Your blog still won't let me add it to my reader, but if you'll come leave a comment at my place once you've posted something new, I'll know to come look! Besides, I like having you visit, too!

A get away place. The thought just tickles my fancy. You lighten the area up and made it cheerful with your choice of paint. It looks so much fun. Glad to see you back on the blog sphere and I will be back to see all your work. Peace be with you.

Hi Vickie -

I've left a couple of comments here, but they haven't shown up, so I guess you haven't checked your blog since you posted this. I do hope all is well with you!
