This table was in my dining room and when I flipped the dining room and living room space, I got a wild hair and decided to make this into a hutch. UH-HUH that's right.
O.k. it still doesn't have the back on, but it started raining and once I brought it inside-well you know-I just had to try it out with stuff on it!Now I can't tell the hubby that after all his work I wish I hadn't done this to my table-I loved this table. Well the real thing is I have never liked painted furniture! I could take this top of and strip the paint of , but that isn't going to happen-so I am thinking the next time you see this it will be black. I think if I spray it a shiny black, I will be happier-it will seem more like dark wood furniture.Yeah, I know I am crazy, but oh well. I agree go black. It's a fantastic piece! I love anything that translates to "a shelf i can put things on." :)

I'm going to steal that idea. I need to finish organizing my crafts area and this would help.
That's neat, but I would like it better in a very dark color. I hate painting tables, too.
Vickie, I think your idea of painting the hutch black is a great idea. Or, you could always paint it red! Hehe!
I'm going to steal your idea, too. I even have the two pieces I need. Great job...Connie
Love this idea. How clever. It makes a super hutch and such a fun place to display things. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
Clever idea but I must confess I was horrified to see it painted. I am like you I have never cared for painted furniture as I love the look of wood so much better. Hope it turns out pretty in black.Peace
