Well Mardi Gras is almost over so I have to take down my front door Mardi Gras deccoration. Since the forsythia and tulips are already blooming here, I made this for my front door. Of course I used the fake blooms, but I do have the real thing blooming in the garden. This basket is kind of lime green color-don't know why the color changed in this photo. What are you giving up for Lent? I have so many bad habits, it is hard to decide. I am joining

That is beautiful, it's clever and I love the yellow and green together! Great look! You were my next door neighbor at Kim's Wow Us Wednesday Party! Just thought I'd drop in to see you!
Your front door looks good with that "decor". I like the black(?) door and the contrast with the flowers.
I have been pricing forsythia cuttings (silk) and they sure are expensive. I need to check out JoAnns on a sale day... I also like the pussy willow ones. I am trying to come up with a front door wreath for Spring/Easter.
Thanks for sharing your pretty door at my Bunny Hop Party!
xoxo Bunny Jean
That is just beautiful!! We are experiencing such a warm winter my forsythia is about to bloom. I just hope everything doesn't get frozen in a cold snap later.
LOVE the door hanger my new Mississippi friend! My hubby was born in Charleston, MS and then lived in Natchez and Tylertown before moving to central La...My home town is just across the MS river from Vicksburg in Tallulah, LA...so where do you call home. Love your blog! Tiffany
Very pretty! Luv the bright yellow.
That's a lovely bright Spring-y touch, especially with the colors in your garden echoing the yellows.
I keep seeing the blooms and blossoms down there (I ESPECIALLY miss Jonquils this time of year) and hope that we have some warming of the ground before long.
I bought a so called king cake at the Kroger this morning. Thought I would share a piece with my customers. So far, there has been none. Guess I am the king. Richard from My Old Historic House.
Lovely ...this is perfect for your front door. It feels like Spring, although we need lots of rain.
Absolutely love your door decoration. I just took a crack at my first creation for my front door. I'm really pleased with it but I'm going to keep a watch on your next creation. Love it!!!
This is very cute...you did a great job making it! This is a strange time of year for decor for the door. Mine is blank! Spring seems too far away. And it seems too early for my Easter wreath. Something like this is perfect! :)
XO,
Jane
I will be making a trip to Hobby Lobby for me some fake blooms! Love the basket, great against the black door!
I was just thinking I need to get my Mardi Gras down and something Spring on the door....Wow its almost March....How time flies.

Looks like SPRING has hit your area or at least your door. Yellow is always such a happy color. Peace
Observing lent was not a part of my church when I grew up. I tend to concentrate on making a sacrifice of praise to our precious Lord. I'm looking forward to this most important season of our year. Thank you for inviting us for a peak at your lovely front door decoration. Cherry Kay
Your basket looks so good with the yellow tulips and forsythia. I had yellow tulips last year and loved them. I may do it again if they haven't faded too much. The shape of your basket is really nice too.
Hugs and have a great weekend,
Babs
