BARGAIN CHANDELIER

I just found a lovely blog, http://www.savvycityfarmer.com  and I am joining her today for Thriftin On Thursday. Today everyone is sharing their chandeliers.
I found two of these in a box at a junk store for I think $7.00 or so. After I put them back together I still had pieces and parts left. I was really nice and shared the other one with a friend that was redoing a house at the time.Don't look too close, you might see a cobweb or two.
This is a pain to clean, as it involves a ladder a drop cloth and hot soapy water. Most of the time I ignore it until one day I walk by it and it looks like the Adams family lives here.

It is a gorgeous chandelier! My sister has begun finding thrift store chandeliers, she paints them and puts beautiful crystals on them. I love them. I need one,,, or two ;)

Hey girl have you ever tried an air duster that you use on computers. I use it on lots of things now that have too many nooks and cranies. You did real good to get this treasure at that price. Peaces

It turned out beautiful. I have one in my pink bedroom, I found it in my husbands family home in the attic. It was orginally in the dining room..they were like "that old thing?" I love it!

Not to worry, Hon---Morticia and Gomez and their entire clan took up residence here with us, oh, in '98 or so.

What lovely, sparkly jewelry for your light! This one down here has all sorts of teardrops and icicle shapes, and once I had the bright idea to take them ALL OFF and re-wire them, for the little crumpled bits were SO rusty when we bought it.

Days of laid-out-after-the-Windex, an optimistic trip to Michael's for just the right gauge gold wire and snips and all the other appurtenances of crafthood, and maybe a holiday came up, or company and we needed the dining table.

Anyway, I saw the whole gosh-lot gallon ziploc the other day when I invaded the inners of the biggest china cabinet to get stuff out for Goodwill. Still sparkly, heavy as lead, and under THERE, and not up yet.

Could you maybe come for a weekend and Pollyanna up my dining light? I'm a GOOOOD cook. Do you like SNOWWWWW?

Wow, you just never know what you might find at the thrift store! The chandies are wonderful, & I don't see any "web" extras.....lol!

Had to chuckle over your comment about "The People of Walmart" site. I have gone there a time or two, & was convinced that some of the photos were taken at one of the Walmarts in our previous town. I stood in total wonder sometimes at how people left their house and went out in public!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and peeking at my newly organized pantry. I am totally lovin' those 2x4 risers. Good luck if you tackle your pantry today!

Glad I popped in over here! You left a lovely comment on my squash soup post, so I just had to come and take a peek. First thing I notice is that we both love to paint and garden...how marvelous. And about your nesty header. I think I have I very similar wire piece with the nest on top...hmmm I found mine in a little quaint shop in Montana.

I think we might be blogging friends =)
