EVERDAY DINING

Until I finish the Christmas decorating I will share these photos of  a couple of tablescapes for everyday dinners. I love these dishes, but I don't know what I was thinking when I bought this dark brown tablecloth-way to dark for a room that doesn't have much light. It has been passed on to a friend.
Love the quail family, so sweet. Bottom of the china, sorry it is so dark. Look at these beautiful napkins I found at the local flea market. They are large dinner size, heavy linen with a tatted or crocheted edge and this beautiful embroidery in the corner,Love them!
We did not have Thanksgiving here, so I didn't do a table, but I did use these turkey dishes a few times for our dinners.Well off to help decorate the hospital for Christmas, then to work and then I am off for two days-maybe I can  get something done around here.

I love the brown quail plates! I almost bought a set while in the mountains for Thanksgiving. Don't know what stopped me? Love the turkey plate too. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, and don't work too hard.

I have a few of those "what was I thinking" items, too....lol! Actually, the brown damask cloth was very pretty, but it would be dark. Very cute dishes -- I just adore quails. Happy decorating!

I love the calm readiness of a pretty table set for two---I used to keep our breakfast nook set at all times, with different little plates and the napkins in rings. We had so much less of everything to "do" with then, and we made so much of it.

Just looking into a serenely-waiting room is a balm on any kind of day, and even if you're dragging in from work, and not a bite of supper started, somehow that waiting little bright tableau can get you started and things come together.

Hope all is well and warm with you!

Love the dinner dishes and the table cloth... I don't have any fall or thanksgiving dishes, I usually just use my plain white or my grandmothers old set and dress it up with holiday or fall napkins. I love all your decorating... That mantel is to die for...just gorgeous! Have a nice day and thank you for visiting me :o) Hugs Jennifer

We've enjoyed our Furnivals Quail in the blue for many years...and I've long been tempted to add the brown to my collection, too. So lovely! Cherry Kay
