PRAYERS PLEASE

I would like to ask for prayer from all my blogging friends please. Our town is flooding, as is much of Mississippi, from the effects of tropical storm Lee. My basement is full of water and everything is floating. I have about two feet of water outside. My house is built on a high foundation, but my neighbors that have homes built on slabs are flooding inside. The rain is to continue all day so who knows what is to come. I am sure we will lose power soon. Trees and power lines are coming down and as creeks and rivers fill up there will be more intense flooding. We have had over 12 inches of rain overnight. I just pray that no lives will be lost in this.According to the local weather channel , heavy rain is to continue through tonight so I am sure the worst is to come...

Prayers and hugs! Hope you don't have a power outage or damage from the flooding. I live in north MS and we started getting some much needed rain last night. It will probably rain all day.

I am so sorry to hear about the water in your basement and I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for your safety and a good outcome for the house.

You've all been through so much in your area it's just not fair. With everything you're going through it's amazing that you're online. I hope we can all help you cope though we've only been there in part.

Big hugs to you!! Jane

I am so sorry, it's flooding there, Vicky. Do take care and I will add you in my prayers. Our flooding was from a toilet overflow, not from the rain. With all these rain, we are very fortunate to be situated on top of a bluff so there is no danger of flooding outside. But I hate water damage. It is so frustrating too that the people supposedly taking care of the damage and repair aren't moving fast enough. I have stuff, books all over the house....Christine

We are saturated too! But, not in the houses. I am so sorry to hear about this. The rain gauge was overflowing here this morning. So we really don't know how much over 5 inches we have gotten. Will be thinking of you.

God bless you Vicky. I hate to hear that you are going through all the bad flooding. We have been watching on TV.
Our prayers go out to you and everyone in harms way whether physical or damages. Some of the poor people in Texas and still suffering without water. We are considered drought here but not like Texas.
Please stay safe and don't take any chances.
Blessings, Ginger

Oh Dear Friend, I am so sorry. Hopefully today the water will begin to go down. I hate it for your neighbors who are on slabs. Stay dry and I will pray for you and your city that it will reside quickly. Blessings, Kathy
