I know you think I stay in the road-ha maybe I do-hey you are a long time dead and I want to pack in lots of stuff beforehand! I recently attended a gourd festival in Raleigh, Ms. and was AMAZED at the things done with gourds. I think you will be too. Enjoy these photos and maybe think about planting gourds next year. I mean can you beleive the above photo are gourds?
These are pins made from gourd pieces-they even use the broken ones to make stuff! Striking looking necklaces. I am joining http://www.savvysouthernstyle.blogspot.com for Wow Us Wednesday. There were some amazing artisans at this show, I am in awe!

All of the are so fantastic. I would luv to use some of those butterfiles in some of my mosaics.
Gourds? Wow, I am going to have to look Raleigh up and see just how far we are from it.
My Grandfather grew long handled gourds to make dipper to use for water. feed, etc. He would be amazed at these gourds. I caught up on your post and I like feathers too. I love the way you change up for the seasons and show us how clever you are. Peace
Wow...and Raleigh is just up the road a few miles. Is it an annual festival?
Amazing art, some people are so creative! What a great idea with the butterflies too.
Tks for your nice comments on our dog treats. We brought them to the Humane Society and they loved them.
Especially love those butterflys! My hubby and I love to travel and see new places. Of course the budget does not allow for too much traveling, but most of us have unexplored places right outside our own doors!
Wow! I am amazed at how creative some people are. Those are awesome!...Christine
Amazing art indeed! I especially like the giraffes.
Have a nice day :-)
& BTW, thanks for your recent comment on my WCS post. ~Ron
amazing what the artists have done with these. Going to map Raleigh. Is it annual or monthly?
