KATIE ROAD PINK

I am joining Beverly for Pink Saturday at http://www.howsweetthesound.typepad.com  This is an arrangement I made from my Katie Road  Pink roses. I love these roses because they are almost non stop bloomers. They don't get insects or diseases either. This is an antique rose found by rose rustlers on Katie Road somewhere in Texas. The rose rustlers visit old or abandoned home sites and cemetaries to take cuttings and propogate them to sell at http://www.antiqueroseemporium.com . Go visit this website you will love it. Don't say you can't grow roses, after all even dead people can grow them- in the cemetaries. LOL! I think it is great that they are saving roses that might one day be lost to constuction or whatever.

That is a great idea. My son took a cutting off a rose on the side of the road and DJ stuck it in the ground and we all (the family) have bushes from it, We call it the mailman rose because Don Jr was a mailman when he took the cutting.

Very pretty flowers! You are right. I'm a terrible gardener and my rose bush thrives anyway!

Take Care,
