SO BLESSED

The last two days have been so scary here with numerous tornadoes. The tornadoes hit so many towns and communities all around us. It was like we were a dot in the middle of a circle and the middle stayed safe. There were many injuries and deaths and utter desruction, our state of Mississippi has gone through so much in the past several years. It is heartbreaking. My sister in laws home was completely destroyed and they had no insurance. She and her husband have severe health problems and I worry if this will be too much for them. I am so thankful that we were spared, and know in my heart that I am not deserving of such a blessing.

I am so glad that you were spared too, Vicky. I did not even know about the tornado till later cause I was in Houston but the night before we left, the thunderstorms and lightning were so bad and so scary. I am so sorry about your SIL and family. I will include them in my prayers. It is really so sad what happened....Christine

This has truly been a devastating week or two for the South. We, too, have been spared and what little damage or inconvenience with power outages we've had seem trivial when I see what happened in so many other places!

I'm so sorry for your SIL's family and will say some prayers for them.

I feel the same way here in GA. We were missed all the way around thankfully. Praying for your family. So sorry to hear they lost their home. We take so much for granted. I hope they are able to recover.
Hugs,
Tammy

The EPIC destruction of these last tornadoes will go down in the history book but it is not much comfort to those who lost so much. The lost of lives was the worse. My heart breaks for all those families who lost someone due to the storms. I do feel all of us who made it through without harm were Blessed and yes you did deserve the blessing. Now we must help those who were less fortunate. Peace be with you.

I scrolled down as soon as I saw where you are from (first time visitor) to see what you said about the storms. So frightening. Thank you for sharing your story -- although you are safe it must still be so hard. Part of me says that it is wrong to post happy happy posts (like what I usually do) while so much is going on... I feel like a Pollyanna. But of course it doesn't do anybody any good for me to get in a blue funk so I just go on. Thanks again for sharing.
