My grandson and I made a snake for a school project-don't ask me why his parents thought I was the one for the job.We took one of gramps ties- hope it wasn't one of his favorites.LOL. Anyway we stuffed it and painted it with acrylic paints and used a peice of red ribbon for his tongue.
Snce this is supposed to be an Eastern Diamond Back Rattlesnake, we used three silver jingle bells for his rattler. I think he turned out pretty cute as snakes go. So there are your directions if you are ever in need of directions for a snake!
tHIS IS MY GRANDSON-HE DOESN'T LOOK TO HAPPY ABOUT THIS- i JUST HOPE HE GETS A GOOD GRADE ON IT! iT WAS A LOT OF WORK AND TIME CONSUMING. i WONDER WHAT THIS HAS TO DO WITH READING, WRITING AND math?

Great idea using men's ties to make stuffed snakes with. I can just see it now, a run on men's ties at the Good Will. Thanks for sharing. Decgal
Your Grandson is adorable! I just want to pinch his cheeks, lol! And the snakes not too shabby either ;) I never would have thought to make it out of a tie. How great! I'm going to have to remember this. We just had to make camoflaged bugs... yuck!
Your grandson is a cutie!!! I used to help my grandson with projects and always wondered what they learned from some of them. He's away in college now so I don't get to do those projects anymore. Enjoy!!!
Blessings,
Kathy
YOu did a great job on that snake! Well, this doesn't have anything to do with reading, writing, & math but I think it develops the creative side of the people involved, thus, exercising the right hemisphere of the brain :) Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. Here's to more mutual blog visits!
That is so cute and so creative of you....Christine
