SUMMERTIME MANTEL

i am joining all of these parties-these ladies have some great blogs-go visit. I am constantly redoing my mantel- I don't know why-just a hobby maybe! Anyway I decided to go with a shell theme. The big martini glass is full of sea glass that I picked up on my trip to Greece and it also has glass fishing floats in it. The tall apothocary with one pretty shell is made with one of those tall clear glass vases and a wooden candle stick(spray painted black). tHE TOP CAME OFF OF ANOTHER JAR, THAT GOT BROKEN. tHE TALL PALM TREE METAL CANDLESTICKS ARE FROM kIRKLANDS-i DIDN'T EVEN PUT CANDLES IN THEM, THEY KIND OF LOOK LIKE A SCULPTURE ANYWAY. This makes me want to go to the beach every time I look at it.

I like your apothecary jars filled with shells. Cute palm tree candlesticks- I've never seen anything like them before. Thanks for sharing your new mantelscape.

Gorgeous. I love your seashell theme. The apothecary jars and the martini glass are so pretty holding all of the sea glass, shells and floats. What a great idea. I really like the palm candlesticks too. They add so much to the theme. Beautifully done. Thanks so much for joining the party. Hugs, Marty

Thank you so much for the squash information! That has got to be it! I will go out first thing in the morning and look for that worm. Do you think it's too far gone? Or can I go ahead and cover the stems with dirt?

By the way, your mantle is really pretty and I love butterfly weed! I see it on the side of the road all the time and have been temped to dig some up! Thanks again for your help. Kristen
