BEFORE AND AFTER

Do you like my updated tool box? My friend Judy and I were out shopping and I found this at a little store run by the historical society. I think these ladies have been cleaning out closets-there was some really nice glassware and some just plain ugly stuff.
This is the before-yep just plain ugly! A coat of red paint really improved the looks of this. I love it, I am sure I will think of lots of things to put in it.

    We went to an auction and one came through. I told my hubby that they were a hot decorator item.

    Way to shop and paint! The red color, with the yellow tulips and forsythia, is really cheerful.

    I love your box . . . I can just see it this summer filled with geraniums and little American flags :) Or maybe white and deep blue petunias, with little flags. You did a wonderful job on it . . . but then red is my favorite color :)

    Oh my! I have a little red tool box just like yours. If only I can find my yellow flowers! The combo of red and yellow looks so good together!
