NATIVITY

I bought this nativity years ago at a moving sale. Later someone told me that this was a popular item made in ceramics classes in the 70's I think. Well, it doesn't matter, I have always loved it.
I have bought the accesories over the years. I like the palm trees. I have cosidered doing a bed of sand for them to sit on.
I just realized I don't have the stable up yet. The camels are my favorite pieces.I always putt the wise men and camels way to the East and move them a little closer each day. And of course the baby Jesus is not there at first. I have him in this photo tho. I am joining Marty for Tabletop Tuesday at http://www.astrollthrulife.blogspot.com

  2. Your nativity is beautiful. I remember the ceramics classes in the sixties and seventies. There were some lovely things made back then. I remember this beautiful nativity. It was very expensive and time consuming to make. I had time but not the money. You are very lucky to have such complete set. Someone spent many hours on this.
I love the idea about moving the wise men a little each day.
Thanks for visiting me. I really appreciate it. Blessings, Ginger

  4. This one is a larger set than most of the ones I've seen.

It's a good one with lots of detail.

  6. Vicki,
Your nativity is beautiful. You are so fortunate to have the complete set. I think your idea of the sand is a good one but how would you contain the sand? If you're like me, I get all my decorating done and then I start tweaking and changing. Hope your holidays are wonderful!
