MARDI GRAS TIME

After taking down the front door Christmas wreath, it was time to put up the Mardi Gras decorations. I decided to make a wreath.I started out with a straw wreath and wired on this fabulous-I love it-green mesh. Don't worry the wire won't show Just make big loops.
Next I wired on this mask I picked up at Wally World and added some curly ribbon-royal purple of course. Added a little Spanish moss and some mardi gras beads, too. Now I know this is as over the top as you can get, but isn't that what Mardi Gras is? You should have seen my hubby and the son's face! I wonder what the neighbors think? I live on a very staid street.-Oh well, they are probably used to my crazy decorations by now.... 4. St.Louis has a big party for MG. I never went, to wild and drunken for me. I am thinking about having a little party and make a King and Queen cake. But I might wait and have a Candlemass party, it's a celebration kinda like ground hog day. It might be more fun. If I can get my act together. have fun with your alls celebration. be careful and happy New Year. Richard from My Old Historic house.
