I am joining Marty for Tabletop Tuesday at http://www.astrollthrulife.blogspot.com . I will admit I have been on the road so much lately I haven't done any tabletops of my own. However a friend of mine recently bought a church-yes you read this right-a church. This is an historic old church out in a little town and she has turned it into a wedding chapel or a place for parties and meetings. I thought I would share a lovely floral arrangement or two that she did for tables.Isn't this arrangement lovely, she had it out at her open house.
That is so beautiful--what a great way to preserve the integrity and history of the building!
ReplyDeleteWow! I have never heard anyone who bought a church except for a congregation. Tat is a beautiful chuirch though...Christine
ReplyDeleteThat is a fantastic idea buying that church for social events. They preserved an historic building and that is great too. Lovely flowers, I miss floral design.
ReplyDeleteWow, she bought a Church? The flowers are beautiful, but buying a Church is awesome! Love the large stained glass window. I saw on HGTV once where an indivudual bought one and renovated it to live in. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteOk..now I don't feel so crazy..I begged my hubby to buy me a little church by our camp in Gloster, Miss.
ReplyDeleteBut there just was not enough people in the area to support it. I really wanted to make it a B&B.
What a wonderful idea!

Susan and Bentley
Well, what a great idea. I have seen several old churches turned into home, but I think this is perfect as a wedding chapel. Seems like the natural thing. Her floral arrangements are all beautiful and I love the antique linens So pretty. Thanks for joining TTT. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for your friend. The church is beautiful. I love that she is preserving a bit of history. The tablecloth is so lovely, as are her arrangements.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea for her. I know many people want special places for their weddings.
ReplyDeleteLuv the arrangements.
How beautiful! That old church has such character and what a lovely place for weddings!

ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Glad she isn't tearing it down.
ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful. Love the stained glass window. I am so glad your friend rescued the building and it is being used for happy events.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Marian's garden. She really has a green thumb. Ginger
