TABLESCAPE

I am joining Marty for TABLETOP TUESDAY AT http://www.astrollthrulife/ and Susan at http://www.betweennapsontheporch/ for TABLESCAPE THURSDAY.

Since ther is a touch of fall in the mornings here, I thought I would use these plates-they remind me of fall. Instead of a charger I used my red square dinner plates. The place mats are from Wally World- I used them last Thanksgiving. The gold coasters under the glasses are actually candle holders that I have had forever. This is all very simple to throw together as I never have enough time- but it still looks o.k., I think. I really need to try to find the time to do a really special table sometime-even though it is just the two of us- we deserve it! I bought these plates at an estate sale, someone told me they thought they were a give away at a grocery store about fifteen years ago,so they are not old. I love them though because of the colors and they have dogs on them- you know I like that.

  1. Love your plates. The hunt scene is so pretty and is definitely one of my most favorite scenes. Love the square plate as a charger, that is so creative. A very pretty table and it looks so inviting. Thanks so much for linking to TTT. Hugs, Marty

  4. This is so pretty! I've been looking at those plates at replacements and ebay for a year!! They are Churchill "Country Life" and were discontinued in 1998. I love that pattern, but they are hard to find in more than a few at a time. Love your beautiful setting!!

  5. So pretty! I was delighted to find some hunt themed salad plates on eBay this summer -- they're not nearly as delightful as yours. This is a wonderfully rich tablescape.

  7. Great autumn table. I think I have seen these plates before and they look so much more expensive than a giveaway plate! I think your table is very special.

  9. You did such a nice job pulling these things together. Very clever to use the candle holders as coasters. I love the way your red plates look in this tablescape.
